What does the PillCam Recorder DR3 do?
The PillCam™ Recorder 3 (DR3) is worn by the patient throughout a capsule endoscopy procedure. It receives the images transmitted wirelessly by the PillCam capsule (via the patient's sensor belt or sensor array), controls capsule parameters such as frame rate and illumination, and stores the recorded images for later download and review on RAPID™ reading software.

The DR3 includes a built-in real-time LCD viewer, letting clinical staff confirm the capsule is transmitting correctly during the procedure, rather than only finding out at the end of the study.
